Temporarily Away

As most of you already know, we're leaving for three weeks on a trip to my home country of Bulgaria, so i will not be writing for a while. I am hoping that our trip goes smoothly and safely and I am looking forward to resuming my post as a blogger soon!

Summer 2007 has not been a good one in Switzerland. And this month, August, the entire country has been flooded yet again. This is the second time this summer and the worst one in two years. We are lucky to live on high ground where flooding is very rare if not non-existent but the poor people in the vallies are having a hard time right now! The army has been called in in the worst affected areas to help with clean up. I never thought I'd say this, but I'm really looking forward to winter. Yes, winter has its own perils but i just want the rain to end! And I'm sure i speak for many, many people!
